Mr. ASTLEY, sen. returned from the Continent last night.—It at length appears, that his premises, lately burnt, cost more than 30,000l. and that the insurance on the same was made only for the trifling sum of 2700l.—Should it be his intention to rebuild his Amphitheatre, no obstacle will, we hope, be thrown in the way of so unfortunate but deserving a character.—The LYCEUM, in the Strand, will be opened this Evening for ASTLEY’s Amusements, and continue so until permission is obtained for the erection of a temporary place.
