WESTMINSTER BRIDGE AMPHITHEATRE.—

Among the many places of Summer Amusements that were yesterday opened for the season, ASTLEY’s claims more immediately our attention, as well from the variety of entertainment as the additional and superior force of the company.—The Dances of the Drunken Swiss, and Moravian Cow-keepers, gained much applause; the Musical Pieces of the Black Bear of the White Mountain, and the Generous Turk, were equally interesting; the Tumbling was good, the Horsemanship excellent, and the Pantomime the best we ever saw.—JOHANNOT, one of the principal pillars of this House, supported his characters with his usual ability, which the audience observing, repaid him in its own coin, (reiterated bravos and encores) and with its accustomed liberality.
