WESTMINSTER-BRIDGE.
In Honour of his MAJESTY’s BIRTH-DAY,
THIS present MONDAY, June 6, 1796,
A BOAT-RACE on the Thames, by Seven Pair of Oars, for a Prize Wherry, Four Heats.—First Heat to start at Two o’clock; Second Heat at Three o’clock; Third Heat at Four o’clock; and the grand and last Heat at Five o’clock, from Westminster-Bridge.
The successful Candidates, in the course of the Entertainments at the Theatre, will be carried in procession in the Prize Wherry, preceded by a grand Martial Band of Music; when the Boat will be delivered to them in the presence of the spectators.
The Evening’s Entertainment will be given in the following order, viz.
TUMBLING and VAULTING, by a capital Groupe [sic].
First time this season, a Comic Piece, called
GLOD and PETER; or GHOST and NO GHOST.
First time this season, a Comic Dance, called,
THE DOCTOR DOCTORED.
At the conclusion of which, Exercises by the INDIAN CHIEFS, being the last Week of their performing in England.
First time this season, a Comic Piece, with its dependent Spectacle, called
THE MAYOR OF THE VILLAGE;
Or, OLD MARY AND LOUISA.
Also, first time this season,
ALIBEY, GENSDARMES and LA BUONA FIGLIOLA;
Three of the highest dressed Horses in Europe; Two of which will dance in a Minuet in the Circle; and the Third a Hornpipe on the Stage.
A continuation of the much-admired PONEY RACES.
And Various EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES.
To conclude with a new Grand, Comic, Tragic Pantomime, called
THE MAGICIAN OF THE ROCKS;
Or, HARLEQUIN IN LONDON.
Doors to be opened at Half past Five, and the Curtain to rise at Half past Six.
