AMPHITHEATRE OF ARTS, (ASTLEY’s,)

WESTMINSTER-BRIDGE.

Under the Patronage of his Royal Highness the Duke of YORK.

THIS present MONDAY, June 20, will be presented (first time this season) by way of Prelude, a Comic Pantomime, called

THE NICK NACK; or, HARLEQUIN’s GAMBOLS.

With Magical deceptions, transformations, machinery, and scenery, in which, will be introduced the Adventures, Death, and Restoration of Harlequin.

To conclude with a view of the Colisee, Gardens, Paris, Grand Fete, &c.

First Time this Season,

A Pantomimical Dance (composed by Mons. Mercerot) with new scenery, machinery, &c. called,

ALL ALIVE; or, the SHEPHERD’s HOMAGE to PAN.

First Time this Season,

A Musical Olio, with its depending spectacle, scenery, machinery, &c. called

WHITTINGTON AND HIS CAT,

Or, LORD MAYOR OF LONDON.

In the Intervals, various Equestrian Exercises, with (First Time this Season) the Taylor at the Election, commonly called, the Taylor to Brentford. Also the Poney Races, by the best Ponies and Infant Riders in Europe.

In the Course of the Equestrian Exercises, different Attitudes with the Violin, on Two Horses; vaulting over Two Garters, 14 feet from the ground, &c.

The whole to conclude with (Second Week) the favourite and much admired Military Pantomime, with different views, machinery, scenery, military decorations, dresses, and music, called

THE BESIEGERS BESIEGED;

Or, The Present State of the WEST INDIA ISLANDS.

Pourtraying [sic] the Modes of Attack and Defence of First, Second, and Third Rate Fortifications.

More particularly the last Attack upon the Island of GRENADA.

Also an Attack on a Watering Place, a Sugar Plantation, and Negro Town; with a View of the British Infantry dashing forward, Bayonet in Hand, recovering the same; and a general Surrender on the Part of the Revolters, French Troops, &c. and lastly,

A GENERAL BOMBARDMENT by LAND and SEA.

The whole interspersed with Songs, Duets, Chorusses [sic], Military and Naval Manoeuvres, &c. &c.

Doors to be opened at Half past Five, and the Curtain to rise at Half past Six.
