AMPHITHEATRE OF ARTS, (ASTLEY’s,)
WESTMINSTER BRIDGE.
THIS present EVENING, July 4, 1796, a variety of
NEW ENTERTAINMENTS.
The Nobility, Gentry, and others are most respectfully informed, that, on account of the uncommon demand for places, Mr. ASTLEY has engaged, for a few evenings longer, the whole of Mr. HANDY’s numerous Company, whose astonishing Exercises, assisted by two celebrated HORSEWOMEN, have given universal satisfaction.
This Troop, in addition to that of the Amphitheatre, will continue alternately to perform
SURPRISING EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES,
With various Alterations and Additions.
The Horsemanship will be relieved by Scenic Performances, totally different from those of Last Week, viz.
A Dance, called
THE PROVINCIAL SAILORS.
A Comic Musical Piece, called
THE MISER REFORMED.
A NAVAL SKETCH, founded on the capture of the Three French Frigates, Two Corvettes, &c.
And a Comic Pantomime, called
HARLEQUIN’s ODDITIES, THE WONDER;
Or, THE DEVIL IN A BOTTLE.
The Scenery and Machinery of the Four Pieces, as well as the Dresses, in a most superb stile of Theatrical Excellence.
N.B. The PONEY RACES, by Mr. HANDY’s and ASTLEY’s PONIES, as usual.
Doors to be opened at Half past Five, to begin at Half past Six precisely, and to conclude at Half past Ten.

Places in the Boxes to be taken of Mrs. Connell, between the hours of eleven and three. Servants to keep them are requested to be at the Amphitheatre, Westminster Bridge, precisely at Five o’clock.
