EXTRAORDINARY AMUSEMENTS.

The Seventh Night’s Engagement of Mr. HANDY and his Company, consisting of Seventeen Performers and Seventeen Horses; particularly two Ladies, whose performances on Horseback, Wire, Rope, Ladders, Spears, &c. have given universal satisfaction.

AMPHITHEATRE OF ARTS, ASTLEY’s, WESTMINSTER-BRIDGE, under the patronage of his Royal Highness the Duke of YORK.

THIS present MONDAY, the 22d, Tuesday the 23d, Wednesday the 24th, and Saturday the 27th of May, being the last night of Mr. HANDY’s performing at this Theatre, the Entertainments will be given in the following order, viz. (first time), a NEW DIVERTISEMENT, consisting of Songs, Spectacle, elegant Scenery and Machinery, beautiful Transparencies, &c. called HYMEN’s GIFT; expressly prepared in honour of the Royal Nuptials, in which the whole Company will assist. (First time,) a New Pantomimical, Pastoral ,Tragi-Comic Ballet, called the ARTFUL WOMAN; or, the RABBIT-WARREN.—The POLANDER’s PERFORMANCES. (First time,) a Musical Farce, (in Two Acts) called the MARRIAGE BY COMEDY—SLACK ROPE VAULTING.—Wonderful Manoeuvres on a Single Horse.—Equestrian Exercises on Two Horses, with astonishing Leaps over Garters, Hats, and Whips, through Hops and Balloons, &c.—WIRE DANCING.—A TRIAL of EQUESTRIAN VAULTING, by Mr. Astley’s Company and Mr. Handy’s Troop.—The whole to conclude with a splendid Comic Pantomime, called the HERMIT OF THE ALPS; or, HARLEQUIN WANDERER. The Scenes painted by Mr. Grieves, Mr. Pitzer, and others. The Dresses prepared by Mess. Clary and Betz. The Music compiled from various Authors. In the course of the Pantomime Mr. JOHANNOT will sing an entire new COMIC SONG.—A Brilliant CORAL ROCK, a la Loutherbourg. The whole forming a beautiful perspective Temple, richly ornamented.

At the above Theatre there will be New Performances every Monday throughout the Summer season.
