[three star symbol] The Officers of the Army, &c. are most respectfully informed, that various Veterans in service will play a Grand Match of the Cavalry Sword Exercises, in White Uniforms, and black varnished Sticks, in order to ascertain the number of Hits. The Combatants are, Mr. TAYLOR, Professor; Mr. HOYLE, Mr. CALLING, Mr. DERHAM, Mr. HOLIDAY, &c. &c.
AMPHITHEATRE OF ARTS, (ASTLEY’s) WESTMINSTER BRIDGE, by their Royal Highnesses the Prince of WALES and Duke of YORK’s Servants,
THIS PRESENT MONDAY, JULY 10, and every Evening this Week only, will be presented an entire new Ballet, en demi Charactere, called HURRY SCURRY; or, Rural Rumpus. A Whimsical Olio, (by Mr. Johannot) called The NINE MUSICAL TAILORS. An Historical Pantomime, in Two Parts, (translated from the French, and as performed at the Theatres in Paris) called THE AMERICAN HEROINE. Also the surprising CABINET OF MONKIES will go through their Extraordinary Exercises. In the intervals of the Stage Performances, Equestrian Exercises; and the Six Divisions Sword Exercises, Attack and Defence, Movements, &c.—To conclude with a Grand Match, on the Original Scientific Principle, by several Professors.—The whole to conclude with an entire new Harlequin Pantomime, called WHAT WE ARE, NOT WHAT WE WERE. This Pantomime consists of a greater variety of Magical Deceptions and droll Situations than any one ever produced.
