CUPID AND PSYCHE, a Grand, Serious, and Comic Spectacle, taken from the Heathen Mythology, and first presented in Paris, was last night brought out by ASTLEY, from plots and sketches transmitted to that Manager by Messrs. Vestris and Gardelle, now in France. As neither fancy nor description can form or convey any thing like an idea of this excellent Pantomime, we shall only add, that we are sorry the Manager of the Amphitheatre of Arts, Westminster-bridge, should produce a piece of such magnitude and beauty at such an advanced period of the season, when, from the thinness of the town, he cannot expect that encouragement which is his due, and which in no instance he so much deserved as in the present; but, notwithstanding which, the old General means to run it the whole of the present week.
