DURING THE HOLIDAY WEEK.—ASTLEY’s.
1. An entire new Indian Pantomime.—2. Two new Comic Songs.—3. A new Musical Piece, interspersed with Dancing.—4. A new local Spectacle.—5. A grand Opertaical Pantomime.—6. Young Breslaw, the Arithunarician [sic]; or, Little Conjuring House.—7. Surprising new Tumbling with the four tables, and wonderful Equestrian Exercises. 8. A new grand Harlequinade Pantomime, in which will be introduced a most singular Piece of illuminated Mechanism, never exhibited in this Kingdom.—AMPHITHEATRE of ARTS, WESTMINSTER-BRIDGE.—Their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and Duke of York’s Servants.
THIS Evening will be presented, (never performed) an entirely new Indian Ballet Pantomime, interspersed with Songs, Duets, and Chorusses [sic], called the MERCHANT and SLAVE. Two entirely new Songs, “The Old Man of Eighty;” and “The Humours of Greenwich Hill.”—(never performed) an entirely new Entertainment, consisting of Music, Dancing, &c. called the FOOL’s CAP.—(Never performed) an entirely new Spectacle, consisting of Pantomime, Song, and Dance, called the CONTRAST; or, the FRENCH RAFTS and ENGLAND’s NAVY. In the above Piece will be pourtrayed a Variety of new Scenery and Machinery, particularly, 1. A Public Garden, or Ginguet, near Dunkirk.—2. A View of Dunkirk, and Part of the Harbour.—3. The Launching a Raft into the Bason.—4. Plymouth Dock-yard; and Ships on Stocks, &c.—5. View near the Bank; Voluntary Subscription.—6. The Rafts in Contrast with England’s Navy. A grand Serious and Comic Pantomime (as now performing at Paris with universal applause, with extraordinary Scenery and Machinery, called CUPID and PSYCHE. In the intervals of the Entertainments of Music, Dancing, &c various Equestrian and other Exercises, by several new and eminent Performers, particularly during the Holiday Week; and for the first time, Young BRESLAW, the Arithmetician, or the LITTLE CONJURING HORSE, will perform with Cards, Caskets, &c. in a manner evincing the “ne plus ultra” of that Art. The Evening’s Amusements to conclude with a grand Comic Harlequinade, called the Genii of the Deep: At the conclusion of which will be presented Machinery, with numerous devices, and entirely now in this country, called the Rattlesnake’s Progress, in variegated colours, and perpetual motion.—Doors to be opened at Half past Five, to begin at Half past Six precisely.—Box 4s.
