This present evening, to-morrow, and Saturday, conclude the present Entertainments at ASTLEY’s Theatre, together with the Poney Races; and it will be wonderful if the Theatre is not filled every remaining night this week, especially as the additional celebrated Equestrians, lately engaged by the Manager, leave the Westminster-bridge Theatre after Saturday evening next, Handy’s Troop returning to Bath, while Smith and Crossman’s Troop (late of the Circus) go to Birmingham; and it is somewhat appropriate to remark, that an event like that of twenty celebrated Equestrians contending together for public renown is perfectly unprecedented, and which may not occur again for a century to come; for astonishing must their united efforts prove, when the exercises of a single horse only have always been received with the greatest degree of admiration.
