ASTLEY’s House never was more full than yesterday evening, at the representation of the new Performances; and the preparations which were advertised as making, fully verified the promise, upon appearance. The Scenery, Machinery, Dresses, and Decorations were such as none but the most confirmed genius could execute; and the Temple Firework surpasses every thing of the kind ever witnessed in these climes. The only comment necessary to be made on the performances in general is, that at the conclusion of the evening, when silence could be obtained from the reiterated bursts of applause universally given, numbers of the audience flood up, and verbally requested that they should not be withdrawn so speedily as customary with the plan of the Theatre. Mr. ASTLEY immediately came forward, and, with the most graceful submission, signified that the whole (for particulars of which see the first page of this Paper) should be continued unaltered until Saturday next, the 15th instant.
