Mr. Laurent, the celebrated Clown at the Royal Circus, has his benefit this evening; on which occasion an excellent display of capital amusements will be presented; and (for this evening only) he is to perform the part s of Harlequin, Columbine, and Clown, in the Pantomime of Sawner Bean’s Cave. Much comic humour is expected from this favourite son of Momus, who, among other eccentricities, will caricature, in his droll way, the fashions of the present day. In the seaman’s phrase, we wish him a bumper, his merit being really such as claims public patronage.

This Evening Astley gives his elegant Pantomime of the downfall of Black and Blue Beard: some fine Feats of Horsemanship are likewise to be given by the twelve Horsemen; also singular Performances by the Horses. The Group of Tumblers, fourteen in number (assisted by the person who turns himself round perpendicularly on his head) are to perform some very extraordinary feats of agility. There is to be the Grand Pantomime Ballet of the Cavalry Camp; and it is understood that the elegant and beautiful Fireworks (in which those ingenious Pieces of Mechanism, the Flying Serpents, are to make a part) will also be amongst the Novelties of the Bill of Fare at Westminster-Bridge Theatre.
