The boat-race, in honour of his Majesty’s Birth-day, by seven pair of oars, on the Thames, this day, near Westminster-bridge, will commence about three in the afternoon, and conclude at six, when Astley’s elegant prize wherry will be given to the fortunate winner, who will immediately be carried in the grand procession to ASTLEY’s Theatre. The evening’s amusements on the occasion, by the whole strength of the company, will be the most brilliant ever witnessed; those extraordinary actors, Mr. ASTLEY, jun. and Miss SMITH, will appear in the popular and grand Spectacle, called the Black Castle, or the Spirit of Ravia, the best Pantomime that ever appeared on the English Stage.
