GRAND EXPEDITION, AND THE BRITISH ARMY IN HOLLAND.

For the BENEFIT of Mr. ASTLEY, Jun. 4, 18 ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE, Westminster Bridge.

THIS PRESENT MONDAY, SEPT. 9, 1799, will be presented, at Half past Six o’Clock precisely, 1st time, an entirely new and splendid Military and Nava; Spectacle of Action, got up by Mr. ASTLEY, jun. called THE PHILLANTHROPIC FEMALE; or, THE BRITISH ARMY IN HOLLAND; pourtraying [sic] a variety of incidents which have recently occurred from the co[smudged]nt of the Secret Expedition to the present crisis, including the extensive Camp on Barham Downs, the Sailing of the Troop from Ramsgate with their Arrival, Landing, and Taking of the Forts at Helder Point; driving the French Army in all directions, and obtaining a secure Position for the British Army; also the garment and signal Construction of out Admirals and British Tars, with the Capture of the whole of the Dutch Fleet. The Scenery, Machinery, Dresses, and Music entirely new, and which have been in preparation since the commencement of the intended Expedition—Immediately after the above, the surprising Performance of Mr. ATKINS, the Ventriloquist.—By particular desire, for this Night only, being most assuredly the last time of its being performed this season, the favourite and popular Romance of THE BLACK CASTLE; Lamora, Miss Smith; and Asphar, Mr. Astley, Jun. (being this last appearance this season).—In the course of the Evening, various new EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES; as also the grand and extraordinary TROOP of JUMPERS.—The whole to conclude with the new Comic Pantomime, for the 13th time, composed by Mr. Astley, Jun. called THE DAEMON’s TRIBUNAL; or HARLEQUIN’s ENTERPRISES.
