That Mr. Astley, sen. is about to retire from public business, is a matter now beyond all doubt. His Advertisement, in front of this Paper, confirms this point in every particular. This industrious Manager has been upwards of 35 years a faithful servant to the Public. In what manner he means to employ his future leisure hours is not yet known. Reports ay, he is going to the Continent to the British army; another report states, that he is finishing a general map of Holland, Germany, the Swiss Cantons, Italy, France, &c. His knowledge of these countries, and more particularly of those, the present theatre of war, will no doubt render this work of great importance to the Public at large.
