THIS and every Evening until further Notice, will be presented the Popular Spectacle Romance of THE BLACK CASTLE; or, Spirit of Ravia: with most superb Scenery, Machinery, Dresses, &c. &c. The principal Characters by Mons. Laurent, (his first appearance these two years) Mr. Lassels, Mr. Holland, Mr. Gomery, Mr. Bradbury, Mr. Fox, Mr. Decastro, Mr. Mercerot, and Mr. ASTLEY, Jun. Miss Gray (her first appearance at this Theatre), Mrs. Broad, Mrs. Burton, Miss Holland, and Miss Smith.—Mr. Astley, jun. having engaged, for six weeks only, those wonderful Equestrians, viz. Mess. Crossman, Smith, Handy, with the whole of their Troop and Horses, they will, in conjunction with his numerous Troop of Equestrians, go through their surprising FEATS of HORSEMANSHIP, far superior to any thing of the kind ever seen.—The whole to conclude with a Grand Serio-Comic Pantomime, interspersed with the greatest variety of Scenic Transformations, Mechanical Tricks, Deceptions, &c. ever produced on any Stage, called THE DEMON’s TRIBUNAL; or, Harlequin’s Enterprizes [sic]. Principal Characters, Harlequin, Mr. Lassels; Pantaloon, Mr. Marqui; Pierrot, Mr. Bradbury; and Clown, Mr. Laurent; Friendly Genii, Miss Gray; and Columbine, Mrs. Mercerot. The other numerous Characters but the rest of the Company.—In the course of the above Entertainments, Mr. Johannot will sing a new Song, called The Ocean; or, The Grinders of the Sea. The Pantomime will conclude with a Grand BACCHANALIAN TEMPLE, as dedicated to Bacchus, by the Romans, at Samos, and introducing an insight of the Rites and Attributes paid to Bacchus, with appropriate Cars, drawn by Lions, Tigers, &c.
