FLEMISH HERCULES’s BENEFIT.
ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE, (Astley’s) Westminster Bridge,
THE Flemish Hercules most respectfully informs the Public, that, owing to the non-arrival of several of his things from the Continent, he is detained in London, and thereby prevented (for the present) making his intended Tour through England; Mr. Astley, Jun. has, therefore, kindly offered him a Benefit, which will take place at the above Theatre, THIS EVENING, Monday, May 26, when will be presented a grand and pleasing variety of Entertainments; particularly the Flemish Hercules will go through his extraordinary and uncommon Feats of Strength, and will, for the first time, balance a real Horse on his hands and feet; he will also, for the first time, perform his Equilibres on the Wire, in a manner peculiar to himself.—For the last time but five will be presented the Grand Spectacle of The SIEGE AND STROMING OF SERINGAPATAM; or, The DEATH of TIPPOO SAIB. In the course of the Evening, the Grand Equestrian Troop, consisting of Twenty Capital Performers, and including Mess. Smith, Crossman, and Handy, will go through their surprising Feats of HORSEMANSHIP, being the last week but one of thie engagements.—The whole to conclude with (for the last time but five) the Grand Pantomime of HARLEQUIN’s ENTERPRISES. The uncommon number of persons who fill the various Characters in the Pantomime render it impossible to insert the whole; the principal are as follow: Harlequin, Mr. Lasselles; Columbine, Mrs. Mercerot; and Clown, MR.
