A Correspondent has sent us the following : —The new Comic Pantomimical Ballet called “Rural Innocence,” performed at Astley’s last night for the first time, afforded the greatest satisfaction. Mademoiselle Constance gave a wonderful proof of her amazing proficiency in her elegant profession. She displayed a variety of new steps, in a style, that characterizes her extraordinary merit. Mademoiselle le Re Kecher and Mons. Lege, gave equally as great evidence of their possessing a share of merit that will always rank them among our first rate dancers. A most pleasing pastoral view was exhibited by some shepherds attending their flocks. In which scene is introduced two soldiers, who, from the novelty of the appearance, and the merit of their performance, encreased[sic] much the general eclat of this masterly ballet ; which does infinite credit to the taste and invention of the Ballet-Master to the Amphitheatre.
