Miss Smith and Mr. Astley, jun. were again honoured, last night, with the applause of an admiring audience, so highly affecting and natural was their acting in the Spectacle of the Black Castle. The new Song of the Seven Wives was again received with a general encore; and as for Miss Gray’s new Song of the Kiss, too much cannot be said in its praise. The lively Dance of the Metamorphose. And the magnificent Pantomime of the Pirate, were received with reiterated bursts of applause; and such is the strength and attractions of the present Entertainments, that we think this and the three evenings that are to come of their performance, will prove the means of filling the Royal Amphitheatre with company ever night.
