The announced appearance of the Algerine [sic] Ambassador drew a crouded [sic] and distinguished audience to the Royal Amphitheatre last night, when his Excellency and suite seemed particularly gratified with the Splendid Pantomime of the Pirate, and the admirable representation of the late Engagement off Copenhagen; nor could the beautiful and interesting Spectacle of the Iron Power pass unnoticed—Mr. Astley, jun. in the gallant Percy—Laurent in the vindictive Douglas—and Mrs. Astley in the lovely Julia, never shone to more advantage, and, as such, the Public cannot but regret that the whole of these Entertainments can only be repeated a few evenings longer.
