[pointer-finger symbol] The Public are respectfully informed, that an entire new grand Historical Spectacle, written by Mr. Upton, an entire new Ballet of Action, and a Comic Pantomime, are in rehearsal, and will shortly be produced; in consequence of which, the following popular Entertainments will, after a few Evenings, be withdrawn:
ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE, ASTLEY’s, Westminster-Bridge, under the Patronage of their Royal Highnesses the Prince of WALES and Duke of YORK.
THIS PRESENT EVENING will be presented, the Comic Divertisement of DARBY AND JOAN. (14th time) the grand Military and Naval Spectacle, called BRITISH GLORY IN EGYPT, exhibiting the whole of the Important Circumstances which took place from the 2d of March, until the Glorious 21st; particularly the grand and decisive Battle, by real Cavalry and Infantry, and the Capture of the Invincible Standard, which is presented to the ever-to-be-lamented Sir Ralph Abercromby, after having received his death wound. After which, various EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES. The whole to conclude with (27th time) the Comic Pantomime, written by Mr. Lonsdale, called PUSS IN BOOTS; or, Harlequin and the Ogre; exhibiting, amongst a variety of magnificent scenery correct View of the City of Paris.
Doors to be opened at half past Five o’clock, curtain rise at half past Six precisely. Second price at half past Eight o’clock.
