THIS present EVENING will be presented, (7th time) an entirely new Grand Historical Spectacle, in Two Parts, written by Mr. Upton, and produced under the Direction of Mr. Astley, jun. called FAIR ROSAMOND, or WOODSTOCK BOWER, pourtraying [sic] the exact Costume and Manners of the 11th Century, particularly the return from France of Henry II. KING of ENGLAND, and his Triumphal Entry into London, preceded by his Courtiers, Heralds, and a Grand Military Band, mounted on WAR HORSES. Also a Grand Procession of the Victorious Army, apparelled in Coats of Mail, with appropriate Banners, Trophies, &c. &c. Principal Characters—Henry II. Mr. Gomery; Lord de Clifford, Mr. Fox; Earl of Leicester; Mr. Mercerot; Lord Fitzwalter, Mr. Whitmore; Dir Thomas Glenmore, Mr. Lasselles, sen.; Prince Richard, Mr. Taylor; La Maire, Mr. Smith; Julian, Miss Gray; Aesop, Mr. Wallack; Argus, Mr. Johannot; Queen Elanor, Mrs. Mercerot; Lady de Clifford, Mrs. Wallack; Alethea, Mrs. Weldon; and Fair Rosamond, Mrs. Astley. The extensive Scenery and Machinery designed by Mr. Grieve, and executed by him, Messrs. Clark, Bromley, Whitmore, and Assistants. The Dresses executed by Messrs. Gotleb, Clary, Williams, Forster, &c. The Trophies, Banners, Properties, &c. by Messrs. Bradwell, Rombaldo, &c. and the Music, with an entire new Overture Obligato for the Flute, Pedal Harp, and Oboe, performed by Messrs. Weidner, Adams, and King. Composed by Mr. Sanderson. Books of the Recitative, Songs, Duets, and Choruses to be had at the Theatre, price 6d. Previous to the above will be performed, for the 52d time, and only for a few evenings longer, the grand Military and Naval Spectacle of BRITISH GLORY in EGYPT. Written and arranged for Stage Representation by Mr. Astley, jun. Delineating in 21 entire new Scenes the whole of the Important Circumstances which took place from the 2d of March, when the British Fleet had anchored in Aboukir Bay, until the Glorious 21st.—The Flying Phenomenon, Mr. Ireland, will go through his wonderful Leaps, &c. &c. Equestrian Exercises by the first Troop in England, particularly Mr. West will perform his unequalled Horsemanship. The whole to conclude with the comic Pantomime, of The FAIRY; or, HARLEQUIN PRISONER.
