A prize wherry, given by Mr. ASTELY, was rowed for yesterday on the Thames. The contest was severe, there being four very close heats. The wherry was adjudged to Wallliner and Shaldrake, of King’s-stairs and Cole-stairs. A prize of two guineas was won by Webb and Judge, of Iron-gate and King’s-stairs; and another of one guinea, by Hayes and Rathborne, of Horseleydown and New Crane. The river was crowded with boats for the greater part of the day, and presented a very pleasing scene.
