NEW GRAND SPECTACLE, &c. performed by a New COMPANY from PARIS.
[pointer-finger symbol] Mr. ASTLEY, jun. has the honour to announce that, in consequence of his having engaged the above extraordinary COMPANY from FRANCE, at a very great expense, he is enabled to being forward those Spectacles, &c. which have been so much applauded in Paris, with more correctness and expedition than otherwise he could have done, thereby giving him the exclusive opportunity of producing extensive Novelty to the Public, to whom Mr. Astley, jun. looks up for a continuation of that Patronage which during his short Management he has so liberally experienced.

THIS EVENING will be presented an entire new grand Spectacle, as performed by the following French Company, engaged by Mr. Astley, jun. at the Theatre of the City in Paris, 200 successive nights, with new Scenery, Machinery, Dresses, Music, &c. with grand and uncommon Combats, Military Evolutions, Siege by Sea and Land, wide-spreading Conflagration, &c. produced and got up under the immediate direction of Mons. Gougisbus, sen. called The KNIGHTS of the SUN, or, LOVE and DANGER, commencing with a splendid and nouvelle Tournament, as performed at the grand Fete given in consequence of the happy return of Peace, in Paris, before the First Consul, BONAPARTE. Principal characters.—Count Marfield, (a Soverign Lord) Mons. Langlade. Confidant to Marfeld, Mons. St. Aubin.—four Esquires in Marfeld’s Suite, Messrs. Boulange, Charles, Trivers, and Papillon.—Four Esquires in Delior’s Suite, Messrs. La Fleche, Dunois, Azambre, and St. Martin. Principal Knight, Confidant to Delfor, Mons. Gougisbus, Sen. (Being their first appearance in this Kingdom.) Knights of the Sun, Knights of the Lamb, Vassals, Dancers, Army in Marfeld’s Pay, Army of the Knights of the Sun, &c. &c.
