As on Monday, Sept. 6, 1802, the FRENCH COMPANY will positively produce an entirely new Spectacle, with extensive new Scenery, Machinery, &c.

THIS present Monday, Aug. 30th, will be presented, for the 13th time in this kingdom, an entire new grand Spectacle, as performed by the following French Company, engaged by Mr. Astley, jun. at the Theatre of the City in Paris, upwards of 200 successive nights, with new Scenery, Dresses, Music, &c. with grand uncommon Combats, Military Evolutions, Siege by Land and Sea, wide-spread Conflagration, produced and got up under the direction of Mons. Gougisbus, sen. called The KNIGHTS of the SUN, or, LOVE and DANGER, commencing with a splendid and nouvelle Tournament, as performed at the Grand Fete given in consequence of the happy return of PEACE, in Paris, before the First Consul, BONAPARTE. Principal Characters—Count Marfeld (a Sovereign Lord), Mons. Langlade; Confidant to Marfeld, Mons. St. Aubin; four Esquires in Delfor’s Suite, Messrs. La Fleeche, Dunois, Azambre, and St. Mertin; Principal Knight, Confidant to Delfor, Mons. Gougisbus, jun; Principal Vassals, Mons. Blondin and Mademoiselle Le Fevre; and Delfor, principal Knight of the Sun, Mons. Gougisbus, sen.; Knights of the Sun, Knights of the Lamb, Vassals, Dancers, Army in Marfeld’s Pay, Army of the Knights of the Sun, &c. &c. The Scenery, Machinery, &c. designed by Mr. Grieve, and executed by him, Mr. Smith, Mr. Whitmore and Assistants. The Dresses after the French Costume, by Messrs. Gotleb, Klarey, Williams, &c. Preceding the above, (7th time) an Entertainment of Music and Dancing, called THE WIDOW and NO WIDOW: or, The FAITHFUL IRISHMAN. Principal Characters, Tradeall, Mr. Fox. Chavaller, Mr. Wallack. Selvin, Mr. Fisher. Paddy, Mr. Johannot. Mrs. Tradeall, Mrs. Wallack—and Louisa, Mrs. Weldon. Gypsies, Fortune Tellers, &c. &c. In the course of the evening various feats of HORSEMANSHIP. Likewise an entire new Song by Mr. Wallack. And, for the 38th time, the new comic Pantomime, with extensive Scenery, Machinery, and various Mechanical Changes, called The PHOENIX; or, Harlequin and Lillipo. In the course of which will be pourtrayed [sic], Mons. Garnerin’s and Captain Sowden’s AErial Voyage in a Balloon, with an exact representation of its appearance over London, and its Descent near Colchester, in the real Car, presented by Mons. Garnerin to Mr. Astley.

Places to be taken at the Box Office, Westminster Bridge, from Ten till Three o’clock precisely.
