THIS Present EVENING, Mons. ST. CLAIR, just returned from a Provincial Tour, will have the honour to exhibit his PHANTASMAGORIA, or, Supernatural Appearances. As it is absolutely necessary that the Theatre should be entirely darkened during these Aerial Experiments. The Spectrology will begin at half past Six o’Clock precisely.—After which, first time this season, will be presented, the grand operatical Pantomime, composed by Monsieur Gardell, and as performed with universal and unbounded applause at Paris, produced under the direction of Mr. Mercerot, called The DESERTER of NAPLES; or, Royal Clemency. In Act I. will be introduced a prospective view of a Rustic Bridge, and Mountainous Country in the Environs of Naples. In Act II. a Prison, Subterraneous Dungeons, &c. &c. In Act III. a Venetian Encampment. Principal characters—King of Naples, Mr. Whitmore; Henry, the Deerter, Mr. Mercerot; Simkin, Mr. Laurent; Russet, Mons. Se. Mertin; Skirmish, Mr. Taylor; Jailor, Mr. Goodman; Captains, Messrs. Boulanger, Roge, Thorpe, Fisher, Charles, Miller, Poynton, Gomery, and Collet. Jenny, Miss G. Mercerot (her first appearance); and the part of Louisa, (for this night only) Mrs. Astley.—7th time, a Ballet of Pantomime, with new Scenes, Dresses and Music, composed and produced by Mons. Mercerot, (and in which seven young ladies, his pupils, will make their 7th appearance at this Theatre), called LILLIPUTIAN SPORTS; or, Cupid’s Frolic. Principal characters—Mr. and Mrs. Mercerot, Miss Fisher, Miss Davis, Miss Twanly, Miss Green, Miss Garcia, Miss Taylor, and Miss Johannot.—In the course of the evening, various EQUESTRIAN EXERCISES, COMIC SONGS, &c.—The whole to conclude with, 7th time these four years, with various Alterations and Additions, a Serio-Comic Pantomime, called The ORACLE; or, Harlequin’s Punishment.
