THIS EVENING will be presented by the French Company engaged by Mr. Astley, jun. for the Winter season in Dublin, and produced by Mons. Gougisbus, sen. The FEMALE HUSSAR. After which a new Musical Divertisement, called BLINDMAN’s BUFF. In the course of the evening Mr. Johannot will sing a new Ditty, written by C. Dibdin, jun. and composed by Mr. Sanderson, called “The Wig and Whistle, or, a Love Song about Murder, containing much Ado about Nothing, or an English Letter in an Irish Frank; As You Like it, or Teddy Foy’s Account of his own Death and Burial, All in Good Humour, or, Irish Bobcherry, and the 63d Letter, or, How to Answer an Epistle that Miscarries.” Also, for the 1st time, and for this Evening only, will be presented a new Ballet Pantomime, composed and got up by Mr. Mercerot and Music by Mr. Lawrence, called The INFANT SOLDIER, or, LOVE in MINIATURE. Principal Characters—Mr. Mercerot, Mr. Goodman, Mrs. Mercerot, Miss Davis, and Miss Johannot (Pupil of Mr. Mercerot) will go through two Transformations of character, and in that of a Soldier engage in a Contest with the Small Sword.
