ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE,
ASTLEY’s, WESTMINSTER-BRIDGE.
THIS Theatre opened last night with a Variety of New Entertainments, particularly a New Harlequinade, with most extensive Scenery, Machinery, Mechanical Deceptions, &c. invented and produced by Mr. Astley, Jun. called SILVER STAR, or the Mirror of Witchcraft, with new Songs by Mr. Johannot, called, John Bull, or the English Constitution, and “Barney, leave the Girl Alone.”—Extraordinary Horsemanship by Mess. Smith, Crossman, and their Troop; and a Grand Spectacle by the French Company, called the Female Hussar. The whole having been received with uncommon applause form a crowded Theatre, will be repeated this and every evening this week only. On Monday next, 18th April, a change of Entertainments will take place.
