NEW ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE, Astley’s, Westminster Bridge, under the patronage of their Royal Highnesses the Prince of Wales and Duke of York.—This present Monday, April 2, will be presented, an entirely new Spectacle, in two Parts, with new Scenery, new Music, new Decorations, &c. with splendid and uncommon Combats, called ZITTAW, the CRUEL; or, the WOODMAN’s DAUGHTER. Principal Characters. Zittaw the Cruel, a Polish Prince, Mons. Robert la Toise; Count Timoska, betrothed to Ingonda, Mr. Roberts; Frederica, Mrs. Sleigh, her first appearance; and Ingonda, Mrs. Mercerot. The Spectacle written, invented, and produced by Mr. Astley, Jun. Preceding the above, an entirely new Comic Ballet of Action, composed and produced by Mons. Gouriet, from the King’s Theatre, Haymarket, called the Flemish Fair, or the Soldier by Love. An entire new Duet, written by Mr. Upton, called How d’ye Do? or, a Meeting between John Bull an Bonaparte. In the course of the Evening, a Grand Variety of Exercises, particularly Elevated Rope Dancing, by Mr. Richer, who is positively engaged only for six weeks. Horsemanship, by Master Sanders, Mr. Jeffries, and Mr. Porter. Mr. Johannot will sing an entire new Song, written by Mr. Upton, called the Golden Canister, or, Mr. Fig and Mrs. Bannister. The whole to conclude with a Comic Pantomime, written and invented by Mr. Astley, jun. called the Phoenix, or Harlequin and Lillipo.
