The Harlequinade of “Fairy Land,” and the truly interesting Spectacle of the “Black Castle,” now in performance at the Royal Amphitheatre, are certainly such a happy combination of the Serious and the Comic, supported by the first Performers, as to form a contrast of so pleasing a nature to every beholder, that both the eye and the senses may be said to revel in an extacy [sic] of delight during the representation. Still, however, we have to mention those great auxiliaries, RICHER’S surprising Rope-dancing, and the truly Equestrian Wonders.
