The grand Spectacle of “The Arab,” or “The Robbers of the Deserts,” now performing with such distinguished eclat at the Royal Amphitheatre to overflowing Houses, was the other evening honoured with the following compliment by an Illustrious Foreigner recently arrived in England:--“I have visited,” said he, “a number of the first Theatres in Europe, and derives from several of their Performances both pleasure and amusement, but never beheld a field of battle pourtrayed [sic] on the Stage, in any manner like what I have beheld this night.”
