The Royal Amphitheatre closed its brilliant and successful career for the summer season last night, when Mr. Fox came forward, and addressed a crowded and fashionable Auditory as follows:--

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I am desired by the Manager to return his most grateful acknowledgements for the very high patronage which he has had the honour to experience at this Theatre during the summer season. I am also requested to say, that his future endeavours will be most strenuous to deserve a continuation of such distinguished favours, which he most humbly solicits at the Olympic Pavilion, in Newcastle-street, intended to be opened for the winter season early in November. For myself, and the Performers in general, be pleased to accept our sincere thanks, and with an impression of gratitude we most respectfully take leave.
