GRAND REGATTA.—A SCULLER’s WAGER.
Astley’s Twenty-third Annual Wherry, given in Honour of his Majesty’s Birth-day, will be rowed for this present Wednesday, June 12, by Six Watermen, (Three Above Bridge, and Three Below Bridge) who have not won any of Mr. Astley’s Wherries. The Winner will receive the Prize Wherry, at Half-past Six o’clock, at the Amphitheatre, accompanied by a Grand Martial Band.—The Evening’s Amusement will consist of the Military Piece of LISBON; or, Ruse de Guerre on the Banks of the Tagus.—After which, the Popular Equestrian and Pedestrian Spectacle of THE TYRANT SARACEN, AND THE NOBLE MOOR.—Horsemanship.—To conclude with the Comic Pantomime of HARLEQUIN’s MOUR.—Doors open at half past Five, begin at Half-past Six.—Second Price at Half-past Eight.
