FLOATING BATH,

LYING OFF

WESTMINSTER BRIDGE,

AND fed by the River THAMES, which flows through it from morning to night. That the first and most essential virtue of Baths is the free course and freshness of the water, is universally understood; for motion is the vital of that element, as well as of the air; and the situation of the FLOATING BATH speaks its perfection in that particular. It must, however, be remembered, that the restorative, not the preventative effects of bathing, is the great object in England; Yet, surely, it is to the full as desirable to prevent attacks on the constitution, as to remove the diseases with which we are afflicted.

In order, therefore, to call forth the attention to this Important point, a TREATISE, price only 6l. is published, wherein the various operations, and consequences of Bathing, are considered and explained in PRESERVING THE HEALTH, AUGMENTING THE VIGOR, HEIGHTENING THE BEAUTY AND PROLONGING the lift of the Individual: Together with an alphabetical list of the disorders prevented, as well as cured by Bathing, supported by the best medical authority, both ancient and modern.

The above Bath is fitted up with neatness and simplicity suitable to its uses. It is seventy feet eight inches long, and eighteen feet two inches wide; and is divided into separate and distinct Dressing Rooms and Baths, for the better convenience of Ladies and Gentlemen.

The Terms of Bathing are One Shilling each Time to Non-subscribers.

Five Shillings and Three Pence per Fortnight; Half a Guinea per Month, to Subscribers. Subscribers are more-over presented with a TREATISE gratis. Children half-price.

There is a boat constantly in waiting, at the foot of the bridge, Surry side, for the conveyance and re-conveyance of the bathers; attendance from six o’clock in the morning till dusk.

N.B. The TREATISE, though only a small pamphlet, contains many useful lessons for the public at large, as well as many very entertaining articles.
