THIS EVENING will be presented (by particular desire, first time at this Theatre, and for this night only,) the interesting Historical Spectacle of The DEATH of CAPTAIN COOK; or, The British Columbus; pourtraying [sic] the Manners, Costumes, Dances, Warlike Manoeuvres, &c. of the Owyhee Indians; more particularly the arrival of Captain Cook in the Resolution, his Reception, and the Treacherous Attack of the Natives. Principal characters: Koah (the Murderer of Captain Cook). Mr. Astley, jun.; Capt. Cook, Mr. Collet; and Emas, Mrs. Astley. Previous to the above, various Feats of Horsemanship, particularly the Peasant’s Frolic, or Flying Wardrobe, by Mr. Ducrow; with his extraordinary Leap through a Balloon. In the course of the evening several popular Comic Songs, by Messrs. Woolf, Isaacs, R. L. Jones, and Johannot. Exercises on the Tight-Rope, by the Little Devil. To conclude with, the Equestrian Spectacle, in two Acts, called VOORN the TIGER; or, The Horse Banditti. Second price at half-past eight.
