The following Entertainments, produced last night for the first time, having been received with unprecedented applause, by a crowded audience, will be repeated till further notice.
ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE, (ASTLEY’S),
WESTMINSTER-BRIDGE.
THIS EVENING, and during the Week, will be presented (by permission of the Proprietors of the Theatre-Royal, Covent-garden) a new grand Equestrian Burletta Spectacle, founded on the Melo-drama, called The SECRET MINE; with entirely new Scenery, extensive Machinery, splendid Dresses, Decorations, &c. Principal characters, Araxa, Mr. Gomersal; Ismael, Mr. Payne (their first appearance at this Theatre); Assad, Mr. Blanchard; Dimdin, Mr. Herring; Zaphyra, Mrs. Makeen; Zobeide, Mrs. Ridgeway; and Camilla (an Amazon), Miss Adams (her first appearance at this Theatre); assisted by the United Stud of Horses. In the course of the evening, various Feats of HORSEMANSHIP, by Mr. Makeen, and Mr. Avery; Clown, Mr. Usher; a new Song, called ‘More Laurels,’ by Mr. Rose (his first appearance these three years). To conclude with an entire new Comic Pantomime, called MERLIN’s CAVE; or, Harlequin’s Masquerade. Merlin, Mr. Woolf; Harlequin, Mr. Ridgeway (his first appearance at this Theatre); Pantaloon, Mr Blanchard; Clown, Mr. Southby; and Columbine, Miss Adams. In the course of the Pantomime, a grand Moorish Cymbal Pas de Quatre, by the Miss Adams’s. Doors open at half-past five. Second Price, at half-past eight.
