THIS PRESNET MONDAY, May 13, and and [sic] every Evening this Week, will be presented, at half-past Six o’clock precisely, for the 13th time, a Grand Spectacle Divertisement, founded on the Ceremonies that took place on ST. GEORGE’s DAY; or WINDSOR INSTALLATION.—Among a variety of Scenery, the following entirely new, designed by Mr. Grieve, and executed by him, Messrs. Marchbanks, Mortrim, Smith, &c. will be displayed, viz.—East View of Windsor Castle and Park, with the Presentation by Mis Majesty, of the silver Kettle Drums, to the Royal Reminent of Horse Guards Mue.—North East View of Windsor Castle; South View of St. George’s Chapel, with the Procession from the Royal Apartment, in the following Order: Kettle Drums and House Trumpets, Poor Knights, Prebends, Heralds, Knights Elect of the Order, the Knights Companions, Garter King of Arms, Deputy Black Rod, and Sword Rearer; THE SOVERIGN, and the Band of Gentlemen Penioners.—Interior of St. George’s Chapel with a precise View of the different Stalls and Banners. Entrance to the Castle, South side: the whole to conclude with a Representation of the PUBLIC SCRAMBLE and DANCE.
Immediately after which, with new and extensive Scenery, Machinery, Dresses, Pageantry, &c. a Grand Spectacle, interspersed with Recitative Songs, Duets, and Chorusses [sic], (written by Mr. Bradwell), called MANIFRED, or THE CASTLE OF OTRANTO. The whole of the Scenery designed by Mr. Grieve, and executed by him, Messrs. Smith, Marchbanks, Mortrim, &c. The new Overture and Music composed by Mr. Lawrence. The Properties, Banners, &c. by Mr. Bradwell and Mr. Perez. The Pantomime composed, adapted for the stage, and produced by Mr. Astley, Jun. HORSEMANSHIP by Master and Miss Saunders, Clown, Mr. Porter.
Mr. Astley, Jun. every anxious to being forward an Exhibition that may tend to contribute to the amusement of the Public, has engaged for a few Evenings, Signor BELZONI, who, with a Troop of Indians, will, for the first time at this Theatre, go through various surprising Herculean Exercises.
And, for the 25th time, the Whole to conclude with an entirely new Allegorical Pantomime Game, written and adapted for Stage Representation by Mr. Astley, Jun. called LAUGH AND LAY DOWN, or HARLEQUIN KING OF SPADES. Harlequin Mr. Ridgway, Clown Mr. Laurent, and Columbine Mrs. Wybrow.
A New Ballet of Action, a New Spectacle, and a New Comic Pantomime, are in Rehearsal, and will speedily be produced, with entirely new Scenery, Machinery, Music, Dresses, and extensive Decorations.
