In this piece we see all the ennobling qualities of the British soldier, and many indeed are they, and well and honestly pourtrayed. We see him in the unpretending honour of his private life; we witness him partaking in the dreadful glories of his country’s destiny. It is an excellent lesson, and ill-constituted or ill-directed must that mind be that can witness such performances an d not be benefited by them.
