The stirring prodigious events of 1814, when “La Belle France” was overrun by the Russians and their Cossacks, give rise to this Magnificent Spectacle. The Oppression of the Barbarians—the Cruelties practiced by them—and the Signal Vengeance taken by the brave Frenchmen—form one of the most striking and powerful Equestrian Spectacles ever produced upon the stage.

Mr. ALFRED COOKE, the Graceful and Unapproachable Premier Horseman, together with Mesdames BRIDGES, LEE, BLANCHE, CLARISSA COOKE, AVERY, ROSALIE, ISABELLE, and GEE, whose skill is nightly appreciated by the admiring audiences, who rapturously applaud their performance, and also that of a Host of Equestrian Talent, accompanied by the Whimsicalities of those clever Clowns, Messrs. CROUESTE and EGAN.
