 to Ranelagh 

  Jos^h [Joseph] Longchamp adv [advertised]: Gazette 15 Apr 68     that the Gardens had at 

a very extraordinary Expence [Expense] been enlarged alterd [altered] &c spacious 

Bowling Green, planted with Shrubs & evergreens   water works  

playing at the head of a canal forms an agr [agreeable] cascade

 the best of Wines. Coffee Tea & hot loaves  a good larder &  

every requisite to delight the Eye & regale the Taste &c &c 

 NB. M^r Astleys performance of Horsemanship meets with  

universal approbation  on the above Green  where he exhibits  

every Ranelagh Evening (weather permitting) his surprising  

new feats of Horsemanship many things never attempted  

by any but himself   admittance 1/-
