ASTLEY’S AMPHITHEATRE.—The “Scenes in the Circle” at this favourite establishment are now equal to the best days of Ducrow. Miss Emily Cooke’s flight through sixteen balloons is admired by every spectator. Her riding is spirited and graceful; and this feat, which is, as yet, the crowning point of her efforts, and the performance of which has never, we believe, been attempted by any other artist, is nightly hailed with acclamation, as being a perfect wonder in equestrian exercise. The Battle of Waterloo will be revived this evening (Saturday), and all next week with the popular piece of The Chase at half-price, and on Wednesday next Mr. W. Cooke has announced another day performance, which, no doubt, will be well attended, especially by the young holiday folks. The proprietor studies incessantly to please his patrons, and he is now being rewarded for his industry and perseverance.
