ASTLEY’S ROYAL AMPHITHEATRE.—This national establishment is nightly crowded with the élite of London to witness the grand spectacle, which is nightly hailed with delight by audiences fashionable and crowded. The scenes in the circle, produced under the personal superintendence of Mr. William Cooke, surpass every equestrian display witnessed in the metropolis. Parties from the country should witness the present entertainments, which present splendour and talent combined. A visit to Astley’s is a rich treat. The classical scenes of equitation have never been equalled. Mr. William Cooke, having passed a life in the service of his profession, has gained for this emporium the name of the first in the world for feats of equitation. Each week aids some new attraction.
