On Thursday last an action was brought by J. E. Jones, Patentee of the Theatre Royal, Dublin, against Mr. Philip Astley, senior, Proprietor of the Peter-street Amphitheatre, for causing to be performed the Farce of Lock and Key, which he considered an infringement of his Patent. The action was tired before that distinguished and able Judge Lord Avonmore, and the Jury found a verdict for Mr. Jones; the result of which will be that he will recover penalties to the amount of 900l.
