A CARD.—To the MUSICAL WORLD.—
Mr. SANDERSON, Composer and Leader of the Band at the Amphitheatre Royal, Westminster-bridge, ever anxious in the highest degree, to gratify his Friend, who honour him with their presence on the night of his BENEFIT, having solicited the assistance of several capital Performers, who have kindly complied with his request, has the satisfaction of announcing to the Public at large, that in addition to the very excellent company of the above place, the following eminent Performers will a[pear on MONDAY next, October 7, in principal characters, songs, &c. being their first appearance at this Theatre: Mr. Montgomery (from the Circus), in the character of Diggory Daggerwood; Mr. Rose, Song, The Tailor’s Vindication; Mr. Wilson, Hornpipe; Mr. Wolfe. Song, Old Towler; Mrs. M’Cartaney, Scotch Ballad; Master Flexmore, New Hornpipe; Mr. Pyne, The Thorn; and Mr. Bradbury, as Clown. Master Wigley, the Musical Child, only five years old, will perform on the bugle horn in a most surprising manner; will go through the whole of the bugle duty, and play a Concerto, composed for the occasion by Mr. Sanderson. The tone which he produces is allowed by all the amateurs and professors who have heard him, to surpass everything hitherto attempted on the instrument. As this is the only time he will appear in public, Mr. Sanderson intreats his Friends will be early in their application for places, to prevent their being disappointed.
