The proud superiority which the Royal Amphitheatre has long retained for the excellence of its Performances, promises this Season to increase, if it is possible, by the acquisition of such Horsemen as SMITH and DAVIS; such a Vocal Performer as JOHANNOT; and such an Actress, such a Dancer, and such a Columbine, as unite in the person of Mrs. PARKER! Great, however, as these attractions are, with the inimitable Spectacle or the Brave Cossack; a new, splendid, and most ingenious Pantomime, called The Man on the Moon; or, the Witches Rout; written by Mr. ASTLEY, jun. promises to draw its thousands and tens of thousands to behold it! Indeed, an Harlequinade so fertile in invention, well told in story, and happily represented, in all its parts, has not been seen for many, many years.
