Last week as one of the horsemen was exhibiting a

performance, called sweeping the ground with his el-

bow, and leaping the bar in the same attitude, his

horse fell in the leap flat on his side, which frighted

all the company, and particularly some ladies into

fits. The ladies and the horsemen disappeared, and

the company suspected he had broke his leg, or, at

least, had bruised himself very much; but in a few

minutes the ladies and performer appeared, when he

sprung on his horse, and went through the remainder

of his performance seemingly unhurt.
