The fireworks which were played off on the Thames at Westminster Bridge in honour of his Majesty’s birth-day, by Mr. Astley, were exceedingly beautiful: the most brilliant was the Prince of Wales’s plume of feathers. A multiplicity of others costly devices, &c. were played off, to the entire satisfaction of at least two hundred thousand spectators. The materials and labour of the fireworks are said to have cost above one hundred pounds.
