Astley, Westminster Bridge, brings out this evening a new piece, called the Two Nannys; a second piece called the Marriage of the Knave of Hearts; a new dance called the Country Wake, and a new pantomime called Harlequin’s Proof of the four Elements, or, a Vauxhall Jubilee; what is it? with a splendid display of scenery and machinery: between the intervals, the very best tumblers, and a most capital rope-dancer (if tumbling and rope-dancing can please, Mr. Astley has to boast of the most noted families in the world, namely, Messrs. Laurence and Lonsdale); Young Astley’s exercises will be considerably reinforced. The execution and tasle of the mandolin player prove a high treat to the amateurs of music; the whole exhibition will form such a display as cannot be equalled in this metropolis, no labour or expense whatever having been spared in dresses, scenery, or machinery, and the paintings are executed by an artist inferior to none in his line.
