Amongst the great variety of excellence Astley exhibits new a his Royal Grove, not the least is the mandolin player from Venice. The tones which he draws from this charming instrument, the compass and rapidity of his fingers, and his masterly execution of the most choice and difficult pieces of music, deserve all the applause they receive. It is therefore no wonder he should be one great means with the rest of the admirable amusements this theatre exhibits, of rendering it such a popular favourite with the public.
