LORD GALLOP. The two horses which dance the minuet at Astley’s are really clever.
GROOM. Yes, my Lord! much so, as they have able riders to manage them.
LORD GALLOP. I don’t remember ever seeing the like at any other place.
GROOM. No, my Lord, and you never will, for Astley seems to be alone in his minuet on horseback.
LORD GALLOP. Is the minuet performed every night?
GROOM. I can’t tell, my Lord, for I hear he has got comical sort of a fellow, I think they call him a Ventriloquist.
LORD GALLOP. Has he indeed?
GROOM. Yes, my Lord, he has great variety, and changes his performance every week.
LORD GALLOP. Well, then go, and take places for twelve in the boxes on every Thursday for six weeks to come.
GROOM. Very well, my Lord.
